Terms & Conditions — Host App

The terms that govern your participation as a charging host on the Rog network.

Template notice — please read. This document is a starting-point template prepared to help Rog get organised. It is not legal advice and is not a substitute for review by a qualified Indian lawyer. Before you publish it or launch either app, have an advocate familiar with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the Information Technology Act, 2000, consumer-protection law, and EV-charging regulation review and adapt it to Rog’s actual data practices, systems, and jurisdiction. 1. Acceptance of these Terms

These Host Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your registration and operation as a charging host on the Rog network using the Host App and related services, operated by Rog from Rog — Headquarters, Coonoor, The Nilgiris, Tamil Nadu, India. By onboarding as a host, you agree to these Terms and to our Host Privacy Policy.

2. Eligibility & onboarding

To host, you must be at least 18, able to contract, and (for business hosts) duly authorised to act for the business. You agree to provide accurate identity, business, tax, site, and payout information, and to complete any verification we reasonably require. We may decline or revoke host status at our discretion, consistent with applicable law.

3. Relationship of the parties

You operate as an independent party. Nothing in these Terms creates an employment, agency, partnership, or joint-venture relationship between you and Rog. You are responsible for your own site, staff, taxes, and compliance.

4. Listing, availability & pricing

  • You are responsible for the accuracy of your listing, including location, connector types, charger status, availability, and any host-set pricing components.
  • You agree to keep availability up to date and to honour bookings made through the platform.
  • Pricing is subject to the framework and any caps set out in your host agreement and applicable law.

5. Metering, settlement & payouts

  • Sessions on verified (metered) chargers are measured by the connected equipment, and this metering is the basis for earnings and settlement.
  • You agree not to circumvent, tamper with, or bypass metering or payment, or to solicit off-platform payment for sessions arranged through Rog.
  • Rog calculates your earnings, deducts applicable platform fees, and settles the balance to your verified account on the agreed cycle. Settlement details and fees are set out in your host agreement.
  • You are responsible for your own taxes (including GST where applicable) on your earnings.

6. Host obligations & safety

  • You must operate your charging point safely and lawfully, including compliance with applicable electrical safety standards, wiring rules, and manufacturer instructions.
  • You are responsible for obtaining any permissions, approvals, or consents required for your site and connection, and for complying with your electricity connection terms and any DISCOM requirements. Reselling grid electricity for profit may be regulated; Rog’s model treats host earnings as a charging service, but you remain responsible for lawful operation.
  • You must maintain the charger in good working order and report faults promptly.
  • You must treat drivers fairly and not discriminate unlawfully.
Electrical safety matters. Improper installation or operation of EV charging equipment can be dangerous. Use qualified electricians and certified equipment, and follow all applicable standards. Rog is not responsible for installations or operations you carry out.

7. Rog’s role & no guarantee

Rog provides the platform, software, discovery, booking, metering, and settlement services. Rog does not guarantee any level of driver demand, utilisation, or earnings, which depend on factors outside our control including location, pricing, EV adoption, and competition.

8. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rog disclaims implied warranties and is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or earnings. Where permitted, Rog’s aggregate liability to you relating to the Services is limited to the platform fees you paid to Rog (or, at our option, the net earnings we settled to you) in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim. You agree to indemnify Rog against claims arising from your site, equipment, unlawful operation, or breach of these Terms. (Confirm caps, indemnities, and insurance requirements with counsel.)

9. Intellectual property & brand

Rog’s name, logo, and branding remain Rog’s property. We grant you a limited licence to display Rog materials only as authorised to identify your participation in the network. You must not misuse Rog’s brand or imply endorsement beyond your host status.

10. Suspension & termination

Either party may terminate the host relationship as set out in your host agreement. Rog may suspend or remove a listing or host immediately for safety risks, suspected fraud, metering circumvention, legal requirements, or serious breach. On termination, we will settle undisputed earnings due to you, subject to any lawful set-off, and provisions that should survive (payment, liability, indemnity, confidentiality, and dispute terms) will continue.

11. Data & confidentiality

Each party will handle personal data in accordance with applicable law and our respective privacy policies. You will keep confidential any non-public information about Rog, the platform, and its users that you receive, and use it only to operate as a host.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms and the platform. We will post updated Terms with a new date and, for material changes, provide notice. Continued participation after changes take effect means you accept them.

13. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable law, the courts at The Nilgiris / Tamil Nadu, India shall have jurisdiction, and the parties may agree to arbitration seated in Tamil Nadu under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. (Confirm the mechanism, seat, and venue with counsel.)
